Wills & LPA For Young Families

Many Singapore parents with young children wait until it's too late to sort their Will and LPA.

When something happens and these aren't in place:
there's no named guardian, no account access, no clear path forward for your family.

This session walks you through both... before the $75 LPA fee waiver ends 31 March.

Date:

Saturday, 7 March 2026

OR

Saturday, 14 March 2026

Time:

10AM - 12PM

(Registration starts At 9.30am)

Venue:

Cuppage Building,

51 Cuppage Road, #10-04

• 2 hours

• 20 pax per session

Did You Know?

  • If you're incapacitated, your spouse can't access your bank account to pay bills without an LPA

  • Learn what an LPA covers so your household doesn't freeze when you can't make decisions

  • Without a Will naming a guardian, the court decides who raises your children when something happens to both parents

  • Learn how to close this gap so their future is never left to the legal system

  • Money set aside for your family could be stuck in probate when they need it most

  • Learn how to structure everything so your provision reaches them immediately, not months later

    Will And LPA

You probably think this is something to sort out later. When the kids are older. When there's more time. Most parents do.

But here's the thing: your children are young right now. They can't make decisions. They can't manage money. They can't speak for themselves. Which means right now, while they're still this young, is when these documents matter most.

    Not later. Now.

There are two questions most parents carry around but never actually answer:.

    FIRST:

If something happened to both of you, who would raise your children?

Not who you'd want to, but who's actually legally authorised?

    SECOND:

If you were incapacitated tomorrow, could your spouse access your bank account to pay the mortgage?

For most families, the honest answer to both is: I don’t know OR it hasn't been sorted.

This session walks through both. And what parents tell us afterwards isn't that they felt anxious. They felt relief.

Here’s something that not everyone knows: A Will and an LPA aren't the same thing. They don't do the same job.

And for most families with young children, at least one is missing.

    Beyond Legality

And beyond Will & LPA, there's another question that goes hand-in-hand with it:

Would your family actually be sustained over the long run, or would they get a lump sum, try to make it last, and run out in a few years?

A lot of families get the documents done and think they're covered. Then later, sometimes too late, they realise the money wasn't structured to actually keep going.

Mortgage, school fees, living costs for 10, 15, 20 years. That's provision. Not just a payout.

This session walks through both the legal protection and the financial structure, so you're not just leaving money behind, you're leaving your family genuinely sorted.

    Who’s This For?

This session is for you if:

    • Your children aren't adults yet

    • You haven't named a legal guardian for your children.

    • You don't have an LPA or aren't sure if what you have is complete

    •  You want to know whether your finances would actually hold up if something happened to you

    • Use your traffic and turn it into a system for converting visits into leads.

If even two of these sound like you, this session was made for you

    It's 2 hours on a Saturday.

Here's what you get for it.

You'll walk away knowing exactly what's protecting your family and what isn't. For most parents, that's a conversation they've been putting off for years

Most families spend more time planning a holiday than they spend on this. No judgment in that. But the holiday is optional.

    2 hours of one Saturday.
Clarity that most parents spend years without.

    Here's what we'll cover together:

    • The Two Questions Every Parent Needs to Answer

Who's legally authorised to raise your children if you're both gone and what happens if you haven't named anyone

    • Will vs. LPA: What Each One Actually Covers

The difference between the two documents, the traps and misconceptions that most Families miss out. What gets left exposed when one is missing, and why young families need both

    • Financial Structure Beyond the Documents

How to think about structuring your finances so your family is sustained for 10, 15, 20 years, not just handed a lump sum if something happens.

    • Live Q&A

Your questions answered in real time by Lucas and the GEM team

    Who's running This

This session is led by Lucas Tai, Financial Services Director at GEM Alliance Advisory.

Lucas is a husband and a young father. He's also a husband and a young father and so is most of his team.

Which means when families come to them with questions about Wills, LPAs, and how to structure things so their children are truly protected, they're not approaching it from the outside. They're navigating the same season of life.

That personal familiarity shapes everything about how they work — values-first, family-first, and focused on what actually matters long after the paperwork is done... because decisions about Wills, LPAs, and family protection are rarely just about the legal documents. They're about fairness, security, and how a family wants to take care of each other over time.

    Important:

Lucas and the GEM team are financial advisors, not lawyers. We won't be drafting your Will or LPA. What we will do is give you a clear picture of what you need, and why, so that when you speak to a lawyer or specialist, you know exactly what to ask for.

    Common Questions

    Is there a replay?

No — this is live only. If this date doesn't work, register for a future session and we'll let you know when the next one opens.

    Is this a sales pitch?

No. The whole session is educational. If you'd like to talk through your specific situation afterwards, we're available — but nothing is sold during the session itself.

I already have a Will. Do I still need to come?

Probably yes. A Will and an LPA cover different things — having one doesn't mean the other is taken care of. The session will help you work out whether what you have is complete.

Can my spouse and I both attend?

Yes — and we'd encourage it. These decisions affect your whole family. Come together and leave with a shared picture of where you stand.

What exactly is the government fee waiver?

Until 31 March 2026, the Office of the Public Guardian is waiving the $75 LPA application fee. The session explains what this means and how to make use of it before the deadline.

Is this an LPA Clinic? Will I be signing documents at the session?

No — this is an educational session, not a document execution clinic. We'll help you understand what you need and why, but the actual drafting and signing of your Will and LPA happens afterwards with the right legal professionals. We'll point you in the right direction.

Your children can't put this in place. You can.

A Will and an LPA. The right financial structure to back them up. And the clarity to know you've actually sorted it.
This session is 2 hours. It's free. And it runs before the 31 March deadline.

⚠️ LPA fee waiver ends 31 March 2026. Get your clarity before then and get your LPA done.
